    Abstract
    Chimonobambusa quadrangularis (Franceschi) Makino, is known by the local people bambu kirisik (Sundanese) or bambu kimono (Indonesian), it is native of China. It was introduce in 1920 for bamboo collection at Cibodas Botanic Garden (CGB) . It is spread and entering the forest of Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (GGPNP) and threatening the integrity of the Park. At their native areas C. quadrangularis does not flowers et all, but at CBG and GGPNP flowers were not found. The most important reproduction vegetatively by rhizome and cutting culms. The rhizome has un-determinate leptomorph type of rhizome and guerilla type of growth which aggressively invading surrounding areas. The productivity of C. quadrangularis driven by a pattern of growth where during the dry season resources are allocated in rhizome, while during the wet season the resources are allocated in ramet above the ground and expanding rapidly dominated the park. This biology and vegetative reproduction studies will benefit for the manager in planning the control management. Bamboo shoot of C. quadrangularis has a potential to be promoted as vegetable, the proximate analysis of the nutrient content has a low fat content and high fibers
